Privacy Policy for PasteHub

Introduction

PasteHub lets you turn a URL or text snippet into a 5-character code and retrieve that content later.

Codes do not automatically redirect. Anyone who has the code can look up the original content.

The Data We Collect

When you use PasteHub, we collect and process:

• The URL or text you submit, the generated code, paste type, and creation time.
• Your IP address in memory only, for rate limiting. It is not stored with pastes.
• A light or dark theme preference in local storage.

How We Use Your Data

We use this data to provide sharing and retrieval, generate and look up codes, prevent abuse through short-lived rate limiting, and remember your theme preference.

Analytics and Cookies

PasteHub uses Google Analytics to understand page usage. Google may set cookies and process data under its own privacy policy.

We do not use advertising pixels, and we do not record how often a code is opened or who opened it.

Data Storage

PasteHub uses Supabase to store shared links, text pastes, and their codes. Direct table access is disabled; the app talks to the database through server-side functions.

Who Can Access Your Pastes

Treat codes like unlisted links: anyone who knows the 5-character code or has a share link can retrieve the original URL or text.

Payments and Accounts

PasteHub has no paid plans, does not process payments, and does not collect billing information.

Content Responsibility

You are responsible for content you submit. We may rate-limit requests and remove content that violates our terms or the law.
